Calibration Reporting in Accordance with ISO 10012
Our calibration reports are issued in accordance with ISO 10012 section 7.1.4, ensuring strict adherence to internationally recognized quality and measurement assurance standards. All calibration results reported are traceable to the International System of Units (SI) through reference standards maintained by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This traceability guarantees that our calibration outcomes are scientifically valid and globally recognized.
All measurements and tests are performed using documented, validated procedures and precision instruments that are routinely calibrated and meticulously maintained. Each piece of equipment used in the calibration process is itself traceable to NIST and undergoes periodic calibration and verification in accordance with our internal quality system and manufacturer guidelines. This ensures a high degree of measurement integrity and confidence.
The measurement uncertainties provided in our calibration reports are calculated and expressed in accordance with the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM). We apply both Type A evaluations (based on statistical analysis of repeated measurements) and Type B evaluations (based on instrument specifications, historical data, and reference material uncertainty), depending on the nature of the measurement. These uncertainty components are combined using the root sum square (RSS) method to arrive at a combined standard uncertainty.
To provide a clear representation of confidence in our results, we apply a coverage factor (k=2), which corresponds to a confidence level of approximately 95%, unless otherwise stated. This means that there is a 95% probability that the true value of the measured quantity lies within the reported uncertainty interval.
